this morning, i had the greatest brainwave ever. (well... i exaggerate but it's ok) -> AN NY BENJAMIN BLOG -it would be AWESOME because:
1) it's fun
2) it would solve all our email woes - schedules, announcements would be more accessible
3) everybody could participate - any benjamite could post!!! i think you can find SO MUCH about a person through the way they write so this would be a great way for us to find out more about each other... it would almost serve as an online extension of the fellowship we experience on Friday nights :) PLUS I know that there are a lot of great writers with tons to share in our fellowship so it's not like we're lacking in talent either.

So the way i envision it is that lots of people would take turns writing and each of the postings could be a mishmash of different things - ex. music review, announcement about a great event, summary of The View, random joke, funny story, piece of encouragement, prayer request, photos... it'd be cool.

Haha to be honest, I fear that everybody will think it's lame and that I will be the only one posting and reading the blog but you know, if the vision catches on and there's excitement, it could definitely turn into a really great thing where real community and discussion would be fostered. SO since the possible gains clearly outweighs the embarrassment of possible apathy... and because I am still shockingly excited about this idea, here we go in all its ghetto glory: http://nybenjamin.blogspot.com -> let me know if you want to post!
