ouchieeee

Last night (or this morning rather) i had a bout of insomnia so i got out of bed at 6:45, left my house at 7:20 and got down to work at 8. I guess it makes up for coming in at 11 yesterday :). On another note, my legs are absolutely killing me from Tuesday's practice. SO SORE.

This summer i haven't watched that much TV but when i think about it, all the programs that i DO watch are reality shows (minus Ellen). The beauty is that this time around, the reality shows actually aren't all that bad. Let's just say that most, no, actually all, outshine last summer's For Love or Money 3. Even I Want to Be a Hilton is pretty good!!! Turns out Paris' mom is not as flaky as she is. Other shows worth mentioning: The Scholar (it just ended this week but what a triumph for nerds/geeks/over achievers everywhere :)), The Cut ("You're out of style!"), Hell's Kitchen, Rockstar: INXS (they can actually sing!), and So You Think You Can Dance (which started yesterday... i'm sort of confused about what they are actually competing for though.)

daily texas tidbit - subject: FOOD
One of Texas' fine features is the FOOD!!! Gah i'm already drooling just thinking about it. Everything there is just BIGGER or comes in larger servings. It really is a recipe for heart disease but no wonder they don't care, it just all tastes so good. One thing that people eat a lot there is BBQ and i LOVE my beef so i was a pretty happy camper. I didn't actually eat that much of it (only twice) but it was really satisfying when i did. One evening we went out for dinner at a BBQ restaurant where I had ribs (it was insane how humongoid each rib was... i swear, they were ribs for giants!), brisket, beans and this bread that was SO SWEET and SO YUMMY. I'm been craving that bread since I got home *dreamy sigh* Seriously, I am imagining the taste in my mouth RIGHT NOW.

Besides the BBQ, the other food item that stood out was APPLE POP!!! :) Haha, it tastes just like the Apple Pop that we drank in Mexico (Manzana!) but Josh really got me addicted to it this time... 6 cans for 95 cents! How can you go wrong!?
