empty promises

"since it's the last day of class today, I'm going to end early and let you guys out at 3."
3pm - prof puts up new slide
3:15pm - "Oh just give me a few more minutes, I just need to explain this next part."
3:30pm - "Ok, that's it for today because I'm letting you guys out early!"

hah OK, i appreciate the fact that you let us out early but.. PLEASE don't tell me the lecture will end at three when it really won't!!! it's like giving a child candy.. and then grabbing it and putting it in your own mouth haha. It really wasted my daydreaming on what i could do with that extra hour (3-4pm)..

oh and whoever says procrastination doesn't pay off is a LIAR. haha i'll never make that mistake again!
case in point:
1) i planned out a worship set for friday last night and then when i went to e-mail it to justin, i was notified that benj was going to missions fest haha.. *tear*
2) last night, i was so proud of myself because i did all the readings out of one of my politics texts (Broad-based Sustainable Development by Weaver) in preparation for my final. THEN i got to class today and the prof put up a list of definitions that we'll need to know for a portion of the exam. "I've taken terms from the extra reader and the Allen textbook.. I haven't taken anything from the Weaver text though." NOOOOOOOOOOO.!!!!!

so essentially, my night of productivity.. was really more of a night of misplaced productivity. boh. hah i would have been better off playing with my hamster for four hours.
