God of mercy, God of grace

On Sunday night, my computer repeatedly gave me the screen of death while I was at Clarissa's house. My Windows had become corrupt and would not start up. (I speculate that it is because of the trojan virus that we contracted in Asia while teaching English.) I attempted to create a back-up file and to re-install Windows but my computer notified me that this wasn't possible because a certain Windows file was missing. At that time, I knew that the most important thing was to retrieve my school notes. For various reasons (related to the trojan), I hadn't backed up my notes - 8 weeks of Constitutional law down the drain... that thought scared me to death! Thankfully, Uncle Simon agreed to help me and after nearly 3 hours, retrieved my files and backed it up on his external hard drive. My computer crashed and burned again after I brought it home.

On Monday, I came to terms with the fact that my Gateway had died. At school, I almost felt impaired - my laptop has become my lifeline during classes and I felt incompetent at handwriting my class notes haha.

I lost all my music and programs (bye bye Microsoft Word) but my school notes are ok.

This might seem like an act of technology, something that can be attributed to happenstance

but to me, it screams of only God's provision for me.

in my foolishness i failed to take the measures to back up my notes. That is a product of human error, oversight, and procrastination.

Yet God chose to show mercy and grace upon me.
