I organized a lab social (potluck lunch) and it was a raging success :) 10 people came (as opposed to the original 4) and everybody had a great time! Hahaha, oh man, there was so much food and it was all SO GOOD... my stomach felt so bloated afterwards... YET i still kept going into the kitchen every 10 minutes to snack on leftovers.
In the evening, I went to Mel's house and helped vaccuum!!! AHha, so mundane yet so fun at the same time. We went to Second Cup with James at 10 and then i had my moment of the day. It was the Second Cup on Leslie next to Swiss Chalet and as we were approaching the door, Melody said, "Hey is that Ally in the window?" In fact, it was Ally sipping a frozen hot chocolate in the window and i got so excited that i rushed towards the door. Too bad i didn't see the curb.
Can't you just picture that happening in slow-motion? Excitement, waving, running quickly, tripping, falling, shrieking, recovering quickly while others stare, and then EMBARRASSMENT and painful feet. Aahhhh it was awesome. Definitely the crowning moment of my day.
