super vines!

I had a pretty fun day yesterday. After work I crashed the Vines practice and it was really nice to see/play with some of the people that were on Tsunami last year. Oh Aaron Li, how you run so fast now! But yes, it was a lot of fun and sure beats sitting at home watching eTalk daily

After softball I went to discipleship at Kathy and Doug's house and I've got to say that I'm really enjoying the experience so far. It's pretty casual so it doesn't feel like Sunday School or something and I appreciate how Kathy has tried to get my input and has tried to choose topics that are relevant to where I am in life at the moment. Yesterday we talked about forgiveness and although there isn't really a 12-step forgiveness program detailed in the Bible, the verses we went through together do clearly define certain things that accompany true forgiveness (forbearance, compassion, kindness, love etc). I know that it can be quite difficult to practice those attitudes and actions (holy crap it seems impossible sometimes) but... i don't know, i'm trying. Hah but yea, it's really one of those things that is fuelled by God's strength alone, I'm pretty sure my own strength expired with the Orange Juice last week.

Anyway, so this the verse I am to memorize, "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." - Ephesians 4:32

oh on a much shallower note i'm really excited that it is long weekend this week.. NO WORK + softball + random fun with friends. i can't wait.
