super softball weekend

My entire weekend was basically softball (minus church on Sunday morning). THREE GAMES in two days.... our season is literally half over now!

On Saturday our team had a double header and sweet mother was it hot. 100% polyester was not meant to be worn in 40 degree weather. The heat made me feel so sluggish and like I wanted to melt into the grass but it got a bit better by our second game. In spite of the heat, I had a really good time. I think our team is really gelling together and although it took us some time to get going in the first game, we made an awesome comeback and won both of our games. Hah, it was pretty intense. That first game against Illuminate was pretty tough and all of us were actually really surprised that we won so super kudos to Cherubim. I'm so proud of how everyone trucked on and kept it strong even though we had a bit of a beat down in the beginning. :) eee i love my team.
Highlights for Saturday: I caught a pop up! Sun showers, getting to base almost every time i went to bat, and drinking gallons of water

On Sunday we had our third game of the weekend and again, the sun was scorching. Oh my goodness.. i wish we could play softball in a pool or something even though i don't know how that would work. We played against RHCBC Apostles and it was another tough game but we pulled through in the end! :) Yay! In the beginning of the season I was kind of intimidated by some of the people on my team but i can really say now that i feel so comfortable on the team and am really digging the team dynamics. Even though i think our team is pretty darn good playing-wise, i really appreciate the social aspect of it as well... ah good times. I can't wait to play the next game.
Other Highlights for Sunday: Seeing Amanda at the park, bubble tea with Cherubim! Oh and another really cool thing that happened was that ok well each game, our team gives out a signed Cherubim jersey and Coke bottle to a player on the other team that stood out to us during the game. The Apostles also do the same kind of thing where they give a signed softball to a player on the other team and they gave it to me for all my cheering!!! :) awww it gave me so many warm fuzzies and it was kind of encouraging because it means that maybe me and tracy's crazy yelling has some sort of good effect besides making ourselves happy :)

To top off my super softball weekend, Trace, Jere and myself went to the Vines'/old Tsunami leadership bbq at Ralph's house which was actually a lot of fun and made my tummy very very full. Mmmmm processed beef :)
