ROAD TRIP!!!! eeee!!!

i just came home from a one-day road trip to buffalo and it was so amazingly fun. eeeee!!!! it's unfortunate more people couldn't go BUT the weather was beautiful (except for a teeny tiny bit of rain), the ride was quick and there were some ridiculous deals.

*warning: long detailed description ahead*
So we were supposed to get going at 8am from my house but after someone accidentally slept in, somebody else forgot their passport and that same somebody drove WEST until Yorkdale instead of EAST to amanda's house, we really left toronto at 9:30. Hah it was actually kind of funny and had the possible makings of the WORST ROAD TRIP EVER (a road trip that would never leave toronto) but we, the group of the worst navigators known to man, actually found our way to the Canadian-American border in a very short time (less than an hour i think) without getting lost again. SHOCKING, i know. It seemed a lot quicker than the trip to Niagara Falls last Reading Week but maybe it was just because there was no snow and we were talking instead of sleeping.

anyway, in buffalo, we ended up hitting up the walden galleria, boulevard mall, and prime outlets. It was so great :) The only two places I really really wanted to go to were Abercrombie Kids and Bath and Body Works and since I got to go to both and made some very satisfying purchases, i was a very very happy camper. You can ask Amanda, i went nuts in Abercrombie Kids at the Walden Galleria when i was first picking up everything i wanted to try on. They really should give their shoppers little carts there, it really would have helped. We picked a GREAT weekend to go because they were having their summer sale so everything i got there except a pair of capris were less than $10. I LOVE SALES!!! *exciting EEEE sound* I think the guys were REALLY bored because amanda and i took our sweet time going through the mall where they finished it before lunch. They need better shopping habits - i must train them. At first i felt guilty because i was the first one to spend my cash and because i took forever at abercrombie BUT those feelings were quickly alleviated after adrian, amanda, and brent also racked up a few purchases :) heeheehee, i am glad that i wasn't the only one who bought stuff - maybe it makes me feel less guilty about spending a lot of money when other people are doing it too ahha

on a side note: does anybody know if the store hollister is owned by abercrombie and fitch???

i think the best part about the trip was just getting to spend a whole day with adrian, brent, eric and amanda. It was so nice to catch up with them and being able to spend so much time and have good conversations with each of them has been rare since high school so that made the road trip extra special i think. AND i always laugh so hard when i'm with these people so those moments were pretty awesome too. i'm really grateful that we got to go because it reminded me that even if we don't talk or see each other all the time, God has given me some really good friends. hah but yes, remember guys, "whatever happens in buffalo/on the freeway, stays in buffalo/on the freeway." We've really got to do something like this again :)

haha...hey I don't think you're very discreet about a certain someone who was driving...bunch of ingrates...ahah seriously tho, we coulda filled up an entire board of "classic moments"...primarily with quotes from a certain someone named B...haha like how B would pt n say "west" (in a tone conveying the msg "you can turn west here") after we had taken a huge detour west and were looking to turn east...ahah :D or the best anecdote was his story about the pretty girl: "Hey my friend has that same pillow you bought too. She was very pretty." *pause, anticipating rest of story* "Oh, I'm done." haha that was HILARIOUS!! I almost peed my pants after that story...moral of the story: road trips are funtacular!

hah oh adrian, don't try to shift the attention onto brent!!! just because you're driving doesn't mean you get to drink three lemon tea juice boxes... haha actually the best part was when we got directions three times to go to that outlet place and the girl at the gas station lied to us :) i guess she couldn't be dazzled by you and brent's boyish good looks to tell us real directions
