Easter passed by rather quickly. It makes me so sad that I have to go back to school! bah.. on the other hand, it's really scary that the "summer - aka May" is fast approaching. I have no job yet which may mean I will be returning to summer school. On paper, this sounds like a good plan. I can take a history course, study for LSATs.. but when i recall doing stats in the summer last year, i vaguely remember vowing to NEVER TAKE SUMMER SCHOOL AGAIN. being in a classroom for six to eight hours a week was not as fun as say... eating jello or playing with my hamster.
but about the weekend.. it was a nice break i must admit. after semi-bombing my psych midterm on thursday, all i wanted to do was not use my brain which i successfully did for the majority of friday to sunday. Easter Service was surprisingly nice on Friday night and it was a good time for some reflection. I think that they did a really good job organizing it and made the service quite fresh. On Saturday, I watched Hitch with Aaron and it was actually pretty funny. Usually people are really disappointed after somebody has hyped up a movie but my experience was the opposite where i expected absolutely NOTHING from the movie (the newspaper reviews for it were so bad!) but it turned out to actually be decent. It was a cute movie what can I say? On Sunday, I slept for two hours in the afternoon and then watched a lot of tv in the evening.
Therefore, total brain activity time during the weekend < 4 hours... maybe even < 2 hours.
Here's a question for you, does disappointment occur because
a) something was just that miserably horrible or
b) you set up expectations and disappointment ensues when those expectations aren't met
i want feedback!
anyway hope everybody had a great weekend

i think it's definitely B! because disappointment occurs when you set goals and you don't meet your expectations. and then you feel sad. but if you don't expect anything, then, you'll be happy with what you've accomplished.
come to w'loo in the summer! the classes we have for six to eight hours a day only last for two weeks... and the others are normal time spans!!!!
anyway, b b/c disappt by definition implies it wasn't what you thought it would be...
